In the spirit of coming back to Windows, I decided to try a full-blown IDE: JetBrains WebStorm. I didn't find an equivalent "remote" connection, so I just opened the project as is, by pointing the Windows-based IDE to the mounted Linux fs. It started indexing files, choked, and froze.
